Iquitos Brazilian Consular Offices in Iquitos
Posted: Fri January 16, 2004 02:26 PM UTC
I am Canadian and need a visa to enter Brazil. Does anyone know if there is a Brazilian Consular office in Iquitos. Is it possible to acquire a visa at the Tabitinga border crossing. I am presently in Quito and hope to travel to Iquitos via the Napo river. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

I am replying to my own request because I found out yesterday that the Brazilian consular office in Iquitos is closed, but there is one in Letiticia that is open from 800 to 1400 Monday to Friday.

I imagine that your trip is over now, but I travel the Napo River with medicines and supplies for the communities there. Did you go down the Napo - and if you did, did you go as far as the Amazon River? I would be interested to hear how you liked it and what you found interesting.
