Hi there,
I will arrive in Townsville on Jan. 27th in the morning and have the whole day to spend before I leave in the evening for a diving cruise to Barrier Reef and Coral Sea. I would love to go to the Billabong Sanctuary during the day - anybody else there to join up? Does anybody know how to get there - by public bus etc. - or is it better to do an "organised" tour? i havnt been to that one... but a tour would be better if you can get one, that way you see and learn a bit more on your way there.
its going to be HOT HOT HOT HOT so take a bottle of water, or take 2 if you can ! hehehee when i got off the plane in townsville, it was so hot i got an instant migrane for my first day there, so be careful to drink lots of water and try to stay as cool as possible! good luck, and enjoy the reef!
