Tarutao Marine Park is one of the best marine parks I've been to in the Southern coast of Thailand (i went there twice). The islands there are untouched and definitely not touristy.
To get there, supposing from North down or South up : - From Hatyai - Take a bus to Pak Bara and catch a ferry to Tarutao from there. Accommodation at Tarutao only from the Marine Park wardens. There are chalets, bangalows or campsites. Tarutao has a very nice and long and sandy white beach. Check out the crocodile cave and climb up the small hill for the sunset. - From Trang - Similarly, take bus to the jetty and move on from there. If you are not staying in Tarutao and wants to move on to Ko Lipe, you may do that by taking another ferry to ko Lipe. Ko Lipe is simply beautiful with corals and fishes at the beach. You will love this place. Well, after settling down at Ko Lipe, you may then hire a longtail boat for island hopping to Ko Rawa, etc etc. Transportation is easy. Check out the boat timings and stuffs. I cannot remember already. Enjoy your stay there.

hi Bkoon,
Many thks for the reply.... not easy to get reply here in this forum to be true haha... hope no offence...I just joined. Ya, I had finally firmed up my trip to Ko Lipe. Will be this CNY, time ios rushed hence get a Tour Agent in Hatyai to arrange. We will be staying at PattaSong chalet in Ko LIpe (800B a night w breakfast for 3 person), if no problem for you, where it would be a good place to snorkle on Lipe itself? Is there plenty of coral reef around it at swallow water? thks again!! IM
