I'm going to antigua in february for 8 days- Can anyone recommend a nicehotel/or inn or bed & breakfast that is not more than $150per night and doesn/t have too many families and or kids? I would like a place not too far from a beach or restaurantsSome of the travel guides mentioned the admirals inn. their website looked nice but i'd rather take advice from someone who has been to antigua

I stayed at the Pineapple Beach Club a few years ago and it was awesome. I can't remember how much it cost, but it certainly wasn't too bad. They were doing alot of work on it at the time, so I'm sure its even better now. Its on the far side of the island from the airport though. You can rent a cheap Jeep right at the resort, too. They had some darn good calypso bands if you want to get into the feel of the islands and most of the water activities were free (windsurfing, snorkeling, etc.). Also, if you stay there check out small bar up on the cliffs out the backside of the reort. It was the absolute best. I think it was called the Shack or Treehouse...something like that. The good and bad is its quiet at night. My room was RIGHT on the water - 10 feet at the most !! The bad is the latenight party spots are NOT on the resort and are far. There two absolutely magnificent places nearby to watch the sunset and one great one on top of the cliffs to watch it come up, especially if you have a special person with you, or you meet one, 'cause no one else was there. You could do whatever you wanted !!!!
