Spending a week in Zakopane
Posted: Sun November 10, 2002 01:20 PM UTC
I have asked this question at General forum, but I think this forum suits better.

So: We are going to visit Zakopane at the beginning of January. Could anybody please advice on the places to stay there? There will be 6 to 8 of us, so we'd like to rent a small cottage with 3 or 4 double rooms. Private lodging will be ok.

Thanks for your help.

Hi

Here's another website for you to look at:

www.tatry.polbox.pl/razem.htm

It takes a little time to download as there are hundreds of pics of houses to rent, but it's worth the wait as you can see exactly what you're getting and be able to choose exactly what you want. There are some beautiful cottages on it.

Have a wonderful time.

Hi Joks,

There are lots of holiday homes in Zakopane that rent out rooms and you can book them through travel agencies. You can try this travel agent called FWP, phone number 2012763. Country code for Poland is 48.
I think a room with bath is around US$20.
Hope this help.
By the way, did you manage to get the boots?

You almost can't go wrong in this, one of Poland's finest cities...
Daglezja is ok but I would suggest being brave enough to rent a rome in a (private) house. They usually have a sign up ("pokoje" = "rooms"). These places are great. You can't get a bigger bang for your buck. They are comfortable and homely and usually a nice old lady will even make you breakfast (one time i got my laundry done!). That's my suggestion. If you are not interested at all in these kinds of adventures, there are usually good sites to check out. The city's one is alright. I personally like www.zakopane-life.com. Those guys have a good sense of humor and their site is just plain good. Peace!
