Euromeet 2010 takes place on 27-31 May, 2010 in Krakow, Poland. List of attendees (about 140) is here:

For those who would like to join it but can't come (no matter the reason) and despite it want to be at least virtually in Krakow we posted VAM (Virtual Attendees Meeting) here:

Here is place for sharing information among those Euromeet attendees who want to adopt a VT-er and VT-ers who want to be adopted. It's put up to help you to create VA/VA foster parent teams.


I. If you want to be adopted:
1. please sign up for VAM and read info put there (link above)
2. post your adopting request here or e-mail it directly to any Euromeet attendee, please.

II. If you want to adopt someone:
1. please post whom here.


Later either VA or VA foster parent has to create a virtual attendee greeting card that is the card with picture of VA and maybe some writing: for example LINDA, WE LOVE YOU!!!, NORMAN, WE MISS YOU!!! - Euromeet 2010, Kraków. This card has to be print out and brought to Krakow by VA foster parent or e-mailed to me (see below). This card will travel with the parent and will be photographed in various places in Krakow and on the way together with other VT-ers :-), then published on VT and/or sent to VA!

I also ask you to e-mail me your VA cards - my external e-mail will be sent to all Euromeet attendees. I also can print them out and bring for Euromeet if you want/prefer :-), they will be available for the parents during Euromeet registration.

I'll quite happily adopt any fellow alcoholics but they'll have to be able to keep up the pace. My last VA was Jelw whom I escorted around Santorini - best VA I could ever have had - LOL Jelw :-X

Canuck68 - Hi! - I'll adopt anyone who appreciated "The Kite Runner". It does add something to the trip to have VA - gives me a sense (ish) of responsibility - HIC!

On behalf of The English Roses/VT Aloud (and other names to be decided)(Gillybob, SueT,Poons,marielexoteria (inhabitants of Pergamin Appts) - I'll kidnap (Adopt) Balam (Gareth) because he'll understand when the roads move, Britannia2(Colin) cos he's a Northener, and Myfanwe (Vicki) because she was one of Suet and poons gang in Cascais - hope this is OK with you all - We'll probably snare a few more VA's to join our gang in Krakow/Lviv and beyond...

Maybe if you are not adopted after a day or two you should sing out as it might get confusing. Marg

Monina do not give up. Some of us started an earlier thread and that is why we have someone taking us already.

What you have done is the way to go. Ask again if nothing happens.

It gets pretty complicated to sort out who has some one now. Or you can look at the list of those going and ask someone yourself.

No worries! You will be adopted, I am sure. Just keep in mind that most Euromeet attendees are from Europe and it's 4:25 a.m. here in Europe. And most of them love to sleep at that time, that's why only 21 (of 140) attendees signed up for probably the worlds earliest ever Vt-meet in Krakow: Photo Fans Walk at sunrise at 4:30 a.m. (on Sunday 29th May).

In real life adoption (especially international) often takes a year or so. I do believe VT is much faster.

So why are you on line Matt? You will need all the sleep you can get before!!!!

Lori & Hansi adoptions are now closed .

Send me a picture Carole and we will print it and put your picture in a little frame and you will be carried by us around .

That to me can be done very simply .

I know Matt you are going all out again by taking care of this VA thing as well .

Some VT emails are not working at the moment..mine are crashing out...so hold on if the messages are not getting through.

I think this VA adoption will take care of itself as long as those not adopted put their names up so the ones going can see who needs someone...so Matt can go to bed.

HAHAHA...I have been adopted! Thanks, Matt - I really wish I was there in Krakow but when we return to Poland, we'll have to meet. BTW, my visit there in Krakow was in Sept 2007 and I was not a VT member yet....
