Ola vt-ers!!!

Finally after 5 long years, i'm traveling to Lisbon again and i can't tell you how excited i am! I would like to visit Cabo de Roca and i need your help on how to get there? Are there any busses going there? Or is it too much trouble going there if you don't have a car?
Also i would like to visit Cristo Rei monument, and i know i need to take a ferry but that's about it. A ferry from where and to where? Please help!

And finally if anyone is interested in meeting up, i posted a meeting, it would be great to see you!

Muito obrigada,

Andrea.

I was at Cristo Rei last Saturday, nice place.
According to http://www.golisbon.com/sight-seeing/christ.html, you take a ferry from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas and then bus 101.

You can reach Cabo da Roca on the number 403 bus from either Sintra railway station or Cascais. It's a nice journey to make in a kind of circle, going perhaps on the train to Cascais, bus to Cabo da Roca, bus back to Sintra then a train into Lisbon.

Buses run about once once every hour. The current timetable is at this location:

http://www.scotturb.com/inverno2009/403.htm

The Cascais bus terminal is about 100 metres from the railway station.

In summer there are extra buses between Cabo da Roca and Sintra.

If you take the bus from Cabo da Roca to Sintra, try to sit at the front! A fairly spectacular journey.

Trains run frequently (at least every 20 minutes) from Lisbon's Cais do Sdore station to Cascais and from the Rossio station to Sintra.

I hope that helps and enjoy your trip.

Take the metro train from Lisbon to Cascais, just 30 minutes. Then hire a bike(cycle) and casually ride up there, there are bikes everywhere, and it is an easy ride on the wide cycleway hugging the coast. Easy to hire bike in Cascais.
