I am thinking of spending a couple of months in Panama. Does anyone have any qualitative advice regarding Bocas Del Toro? I would like to rent accommodation for 2 months near the beach and away from big spiders, whilst writing a book and taking Spanish lessons. Any advice would be really gratefully received.

Hola de Boquete, Happy holidays.
We spend a fair amount of time in Bocas with our bizz. Accomodations within Bocas are a bit pricy in this period of the High season. There are some bit austere locales about, that with some searching, you may locate. Another solution might be the backbacker crowd lairs which are $5-10/day. We've seen some small apt for $250-400/mo. You didn't specify budget. We can try and assist. Contact us via the e-mail noted for us.
