Temple of Abu Simbel Travel Forum

Hello all,
How do i arrange the flight to abu simbel? How much does it cost? I could arrange this with the tour I will be with, but their cost is 250 usd. Does this price seem high?

When you are in Aswan, you can take a bus which takes 3 hours and a half to go to Abu simbel and takes you back. This is a daily trip that is going from Aswan every day, and it will not cost you more than 50 USD maximum with the entrance to the temple.

You can also fly from Aswan to Abu Simbel, I am not sure about the price exactly, but definitly it will not be 250 or even 150 USD.

This is way too expensive, normally the advice I give to my friends is to organize things while in Egypt, or get an Egyptian friend (trusted one) to organize things in Egypt before they come, this way it is more cheap.

Any info on the bus schedule and if the road to abu simbel is open throughout the year for tourists?
Also, any idea if this bus is airconditioned (we will be traveling there in May!). Thanks!

Yes there is a buse all the time,
it goes in the morning (not sure exact time), you are able to catch then the temple in its opening hours.
About the air conditioning, Umm... I am not sure about that, but what I am sure about is that you will not die if there is none:)

I think the best is to take a bus , is cheaper and you can see the sunrise in the desert. Enjoy this!!!!!!!!
