Hello Africa!!

Greetings from Finland. I´d like to ask your help..I´ve got a friend from Somalia and I would like to wish a merry Christmas and happy New Year to her. But I´ve got one little problem...what´s translation of that ??

Hi there,
There is no Chrismas greetings in Somalia - it is 100% Muslim there. But there are other ways of passing greetings like the new year's - it is SANNAD WANAAGSAN, happy new year.

Read as:
CHRISTMAS FI'AN

Here is how to say happy new year:
SANAD WACAN!
Read as:
SANAD WA'AN

Hashis, I don't think that any country is 100% Muslim and I would refrain from such political statements. There are still some Bantu-speaking people living
in Somalia, and considering that some Bantu are indeed Christians, they can
also say "Merry Christmas". As the previous posting shows, it exists.
