Croatia	accodations Posted: Fri February 12, 2010 09:45 PM UTC In June my wife and I are planning on renting a car and traveling through Croatia (Zagreb to Dubrovnik), should we book hotels ahead? No need to book in June. There are accommodation agencies in each town who will find a place for you if you have any trouble and loads of places advertising rooms. The coast is beautiful, being free to wander along it at your own pace is all part of the pleasure. My only advice would be to book if there is somewhere in particular you want to stay - you might come across some such place between now and June and some of the nicest places are very small - e.g Our favourite Split B&B has only 3 rooms and the lovely Hotel Ostria at Mali Ston has just 12 rooms and a renowned restaurant.

Do take a ferry or two across to some of the islands - a not-to-be-missed part of any Croatian holiday.

Recommend you do not book ahead, do not be restricted in having to be in a certain town every evening, you will miss to much. Be free. We were in Croatia in 2005, make certain you visit Plitvic Lakes, World Heritage.

Also if you have time cross over the border to Slovennia, a magnificent country.
