Quepos Travel Forum

Anybody been there? Is it worth staying at ? Can a 2 wheel drive vehicle make it to the hotel in the wet season ?Thanks

Most of those roads are paved now.

we have not been to that hotel. we stayed at si como no. the hotel was great. i highly recommend CR/quepos as a vacation

We just returned and Hotel Verde Mar was perfect for us. We had once one hotel in the hills for the first night and wanted to change. Some one in the MA national Park recommended Hotel Verde Mar, so we stopped by to check it out. It was just what we wanted at an excellent price. The rooms are clean and spacious with a kitchenett. The beach is a short walk over a bridge. Close walking distance to the park entrance, and 2 close restaurants on the beach. A couple of families of monkeys came up to the pool area (which was cleaned daily). Staff is very friendly and helpful in booking tours and finding other hotels along our journey to stay. Easy to get to and there is payment all the way to the park, just watch your speed and the one-lane bridges.

Even with a big mix-up with a sailing tour through Iguana Tour, the staff at Hotel Verde Mar called about five different people to find out what happened. Apparently they baited us with the sailing tour, but never had one available and put us on a dolphin (small motor boat) tour. They never told anyone which we were not pleased about. But the dolphin tour was good if they is what you want to do.
