I know this is a bit of a long shot but I am trying to trace family of my father Aleksander Kaminksi. I beleive he took his mother's surname when he was deported from Poland to Siberia in 1939.
I think he was from a village called Luszki.

Any informatation would be welcome

The correct Polish spelling of the surname is most likely Kamin~ski where ~ means the n has an accent over it. It is a very common name with 87935 respondents in the 1990 census. However there were 466 respondents using n without the accent.

I wasn't able to find a place called Luszki. However there are 3 L~uz~~ki, where the L has a stroke through it and the z a dot. There is also a Luszyk. Go to
