Reasonable restaurants in Copenhagen
Posted: Fri January 22, 2010 03:04 PM UTC
Hi all
We're going to be in Copenhagen for 5 days in May and I wondered if I could get a few suggestions for some reasonably priced places to eat in the city centre? I've been gleaning a few from tips on VT already, of course, but any other suggestions would be welcome!

i ate dinner a few days ago in a newly opened restaurant in copenhagen that serves traditional danish food.
i thought it was pretty good for the price and i am normally not a big fan of the danish kitchen.
this is the website of the place:

Madklubben for a french bistro type meal http://www.madklubben.info/main.aspx

Or if you want something more traditional Danish - and corny - Det Lille Apotek http://www.detlilleapotek.dk/eng

For us non-Danes good eating in CPH is expensive (and certainly a lot more expensive than Canada). Personally I've enjoyed some reasonably-priced meals around Nyhavn including Nyhavn 37, SARS Kommandoren and L'Olivio - not cheap but all good stuff.

For a less formal eatery try Kebabish on Vesterbrogade (not far from Central Station) which does great kebabs and curries at very reasonable prices. For eating on-the-hoof (or taking back to your hotel) the 7-Elevens are great with loads of variety (hot and cold) and cheapish prices. And of course don't forget the Polser Wagens - as you get further away from the Radhusplas these get cheaper.

Enjoy CPH!
