I will be travelling to Russia from Africa with a Russian tourist visa, Would it be possible to leave Russia to Poland by road crossing the border with my husband which is a EU citizen? Ia there any law that protects me as a non EU of entering a schengen state accompanying my husband with proves of our marriage certificates without the schengen visa? i wish to know if i can present my marriage certificate at the Russian-Poland border to accompany my husband in a schengen state and if i can obtain a temporary visa at the border to accompany my husband to a schegen state. thanks for helping me with some informations

No, a marriage certificate cannot replace a Schengen visa and as far as I know you can't obtain such a visa at the border. You must obtain the visa from the Polish Embassy.

Russia has border with Poland only at the enclave - Kaliningrade Region.
To get to Poland by road you need to cross Belaruss-Poland border or Russian-Estonian, or Russian-Lithuanian borders.

You can ask for schengen visa in Baltic states - this will be better for European bureaucrats, as they are always very suspicious if visa state and a mark of crossing border are not equal. This stupid fact can be cause for reject you multiple visa request in future.

hello still seeki greetings to you still seeking your advice, do you believe i can obtain a temporary visa of 48 hours to accompany my husband to poland, we will be travelling to kaliningrad but i am from africa and my schengen visa is not yet out, but we are married and my husband is a ECC citizen, we are going for a tour on a touristic journey but the main destination is russia and move to kaliningrad. can i accopany my husband right up to poland because he can travel through the road to visit poland. can we travel together by road using a 48 hours visa at the border. since i am a family member of a ECC citizen and there is a the 2004 european law that gives free movement of family members to accompany their family with a temporary visa at the border. hope to get more information, you mention of these Belaruss-Poland border or Russian-Estonian, or Russian-Lithuanian borders which is possible and you mention of asking a visa at the baltic state is it possible. does a russian tourist visa permit someone to travel to belaruss, estonian, lithuanian ? thanks hope to get more from you and thanks.
