Please share with me and others where you are going to stay during official VT Euromeet in Krakow on 28-30 May, 2010, especially if you find good offer.

Anyone willing to share cost of stay?

I plan to come to Krakow and stay from 28th till 30th of May (2 nights) for the VT meeting. I am looking for someone to share a room in a hotel. It would be much cheaper to pay half as the prices in hotels are usually per room. The "offer" is also valid for the meeting in Sibiu as I would love to go there, too. If any questions feel free to contact me. :-)

How many nights are you going to stay in Krakow?
Posted: Sun December 13, 2009 08:09 PM UTC
May I ask you all how many nights are you going to stay in Krakow? My recommendation is 4 nights: 27/28/29/30/31 May although it's surely up to you (or your boss, your business, your wallet, children etc.).

I still negiotiate discount prices with managers of many accommodations in Krakow and I ask you because some hotels/hostels want to lower price but exclusively if you stay at least 4 nights (3 nights at regular price and the 4th night for free). Well, unfortunatelly as for now mainly top and most expensive hotels and those located very far from downtown are ready to lower price by usually 20%. But I am very patient :-)))

Hello,
My idea is to stay for 3 nights -but I try to arrive early on Thursday morning.Leaving late on Sunday -I hope to get direct flights.
For no other reason but pampering myself..Im a newcomer in the meetings so please, try to understand me.
The Helsinki annual Travel Fair is held in Januar -guess who's going to do everything then???
How is Wielopole as a hotel? Locationwise is most important to me.Right now there's a package tour for 433euro.From that price I get the bonus onto my loyal customer with the chain of deprtment stores etc that runs this travel service, too.
My name will be on the list of participants only after my tickets and all are in my hand.
LOL -yes,planning too much..:)
regards from SNOWY Finland,
Soili

Hello soili,

Great news :-)
Hotel Wielopole is great located: it's just outside closed for traffic area of strict historic old town (some 5 min. on foot from main Square) and close (15-20 min. on foot or just 1-2 stops by tram) to Old Jewish District (Kazimierz). I may recommend this hotel for you, it also has quite good reviews in internet.

You are very welcome to Krakow,
Urszula and Matt.

Hello Matt,
Thank you so much for the reply.I have checked the hotel, and I'm pleased it's not far from main action. Also,I know for a fact that I could do the flights an hotel separately- but I'm actually going to work on Monday.Having unpaid two days off -or just one, hopefully.
My hours of work are 20 hours a week but they are distributed unevenly - I'm a teacher.I will have to ask that the days are not two hour days -which can happen. Not my liking, but it's other people's timetable that affects me.
Let's see..
Now I put everything on hold for a while because of Xmas.I have some info on Poland to read during Xmas..
We'll see what's going to happen.
regards,Soili

Matt, I will probably stay at least 4 nights - my previous experience of EuroMeets means I know how great it can be to get there a couple of days early and stay on an extra day or two to spend time with VTers as its often difficult to get to speak to lots of people during the main event. Also, it will depend on my flight route - nothing direct from Manchester, which is a disappointment.

Am thinking Friday to Wednesday at the moment, for the same reasons as Gillybob. Don't need to worry about deciding until I want to book flights, prob in February.

27/28/29/30/31 May,
I'll stay in good friend's house.
I have to ask him again, but there is a good chance we can offer free accommodation for 3 'cool' people.

Cheers!
