Hey all!
So lucky me (I hope), I won one of the St. Lucia auctions yesterday! Now the question is what's the best time of year to visit? Or, rather, if I were to visit sometime between January and May, when would be best and what would I expect? Thanks! Jessica |

Way to go Jessica!
I was married on the island of St. Lucia in May of '99 and the weather was great! The sun was not unbearable and at night, shorts and a long sleeved shirt were perfect. Now, what to expect..... Expect to meet friendly people, expect to smell tropical flowers, expect to be pampered and expect to have a great time! Take a rainforest tour, experience the botanical gardens and climb to the top of one of the Pitons. One more thing, expect it to be a long day of travel. matt

... expect sandy beaches.
Be careful about what you do in the beach at night, sand can get quite unconfortable if it gets in the wrong places...

Thanks guys! I'll take that advice about botanical gardens, warm weather.... sounds very romantic, indeed! And yes, I'll be careful about sand in uncomfortable places.
Perhaps I'll schedule it around a full moon. Ohhh yes. :-)

Ha! I figure that Mark and I both got an incredible deal. I got an incredible price on an incredible vacation spot... and a christmas gift for Mark that will knock his socks off and something we get to share!
Now I just need to go find a new pair of swim trunks for him. Wrap those up to put under the tree. When he doesn't get what the hell's going on, give him an envelope with the real deal...

I got the Rendezvous Resort package. For $807 for a week, I'll take it! The tickets could be expensive to get there, yeah, but... we'll see. Looking forward to the look on my sweetheart's face when he opens his present of new swim trunks. :-)

Isn't there still 1 day left on that auction?
I was thinking of getting the same one. But I won't now, because I'm up in Calgary, AB and the flights from here are too expensive. Good luck with the shorts! :-)

Yippee -- I've finally booked my trip. It's taken a long time to figure out our schedules enough to book this trip. But we finally scheduled it today. We leave SFO on the night of Sep. 10 and get to St. Lucia early afternoon Sep. 11. Leave there the morning of Sep 18. Ahhhhh.... I can start relaxing already!!
