Since yesterday I have tried opening notices but it seems to open in a new page with the same page that I am viewing. Don't know what is the glitch. Is it happening with everyone or is it something only I am facing? Have not been able to configure what is causing the problem. Hope something is done to fix it or someone can tell me what to do to make it work again if I am doing something wrong.

I had this and other problems when I installed the latest verion of Firefox. It turned out that the new version comes with a Skype add-on. Onece I'd disabled that all my problems went away.

I have not selected Skype on my version separately, so is there a way to disable it otherwise?

I hadn't either, the Skype extension came with it without my choosing. It is the bit that allows you to view certain contact numbers on websites as Skype numbers. If there is a Skype logo near the top right hand corner (which is where I found mine) I *think* from memory you could disable it by maybe right clicking on it and going from there. Sorry, I don't recall exactly.

Well, the problem has sorted out by itself after I downloaded the newer version of Firefox 3.5. During my recent computer problem the mechanic loaded an earlier version which created the problems, I guess. Thanks for all your help, very much appreciated.
