Travel to Hengelo

Hi,

I am going to travel from İstanbul to Hengelo tomorrow(18th October) I will be there for a month. As far as I understand there is not a lot of option to doing something at week days. I may go Amsterdam, Rotterdam, such like big cities at weekends. Do you have any comments? Anyone want to join with me?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

This website will be useful to plan your trips with public transport:

You might want to visit Maastricht and Groningen as well...

Have fun,
Dennis

For some reason I spent all my October weekends at Amsterdam, and I live at Hengelo.

I have listed the Hengelo 2009 events at:
http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tp/87350

The upcoming weekend I'll stay here for the flea market.

BTW be aware that the Amsterdam marathon is held on your arrival date (october 18).

I know VT-member Ekaterinburg will be at Amsterdam in mid-november; you might write an email to her if you want to team up.

Going to the bigger cities is a good plan. Be aware it's get colder and we have the arrival of "Sinterklaas" at November 14 throughout the country.

BTW What are you up for at Hengelo?

I'm afraid Hengelo will not offer much on a Sunday. Once a month on average the center city shops will be open.

As it is fair weather just take a walk or try to get a bicycle to explore some of the surroundings (Twickel castle for instance).
