Does anyone have an alternative to paying $900 for a flight from Los Angeles to Jamaica? Thanks for all your help!

Where are you situated? If you are near New York State you could come accross the boarder to Toronto and get a charter flight with airtransat.ca They sometimes have sell off tickets at christmas time. I bought a last minute flight to Colombia, at a time when they flew there, for 400 Canadian/return!!!! The U.S. dollar is worth more than ours so you can get more of a bargain. I have seen tickets to Jamaica advertised in our newspaper for about 300 U.S. previous years.

Hi I just checked that site and they have seats for December 29th returning on January 5th or 12th for the equivilant of $591 U.S. dollars. I think it is to Montego Bay.

Did you try Air Jamaica? They have sold out already for some of the holiday dates, but if you are flexible you might find something. Flights with them transfer from LA in Atlanta I think. Perhaps you could get a flight to Atlanta and then to Ochos Rios. It is not as popular as Montego Bay...maybe, I'm not sure. I don't know what the U.S. has in terms of charter flights. There have to be some i'd think.
