I was stationed at RAF Alconbury in Huntingdon from 1963-65 and had a girl friend named Carol. She lived on the outskirts of Wellingborough and worked in a TV factory. She had a sister that moved with an american to Chickopee Falls Massachusetts. I would like to know if anyone is aware of anyone that would be in her late 50's. I know this is like finding a needle in a haystack but thought I would try. My first name is Barry and I used to live in Minnesota. Thanks for your help. Barry

I dont think I can help u to find Carol as ive only lived in Wellingborough 30 yrs, but Ive been trying to think of the pub.

If it was near All Saints there is one opposite on the corner where the police station is now situated, That is called the Volunteer.

Nice to know somebody over there remembers this place as it does tend to get forgotton. Having been in the taxi game around here back in the 80's I can remember when several girls used to have a lift over to Alconbury for the discos on Saturday nights. Sasly enough as im sure your aware the field has been decomissioned now and will either be used for property development or scaled down to a private airfield. We still get the ocassional vetran over here visiting The Poddington field that is now the Santa Pod drag strip.
