Hi we are planing a trip to the hob but i got tickets that you pick up 1 hour before the show as their side wouldnt accept the country area in Europe do you think that this will mean i wont get in until last and get bad seats?
Also is the car park a far walk? any good hotels near for a few days?
Sorry and is eating by pre orders ONLY or book as you enter at the time .
many thanks to anyone who has been there before and can give any info.

I see no one else has responded so I'll try to help you but it's been a few years since I've been to the HOB.

As far as I know, you should be able to get your tickets sooner than 1 hour before the show starts. Call ahead and see when the box office opens. If they're telling you they won't mail your tickets to you for some reason, you could always stop by and pick them up a day or so before the show when the box office is open. If not, you can queue up earlier than 1 hour ahead of time and have someone in your party go get the tickets 1 hr before while you hold the place in line.

Also, there aren't seats in the HOB. You stand for the most part, I think they still have a few tables upstairs but most of the club is standing room only.

There are a lot of places to park along Sunset and on the side streets. If you get there early you might be able to find a place on the street somewhere, just make sure to read the parking signs to make sure you're not parking your car on a street that has a parking time limit or is for residents only (although I don't think any streets just off Sunset are residents only). There are some parking garages not far though. The last time I was up there, I parked in a nice garage about 2 blocks away. It was very easy and convenient.

I have eaten at the HOB Anaheim and we didn't need reservations but the closer to dinner time the more likely you'll have a long wait for a table if you don't have reservations. I'm not sure about the HOB on Sunset as far as that goes but I'm sure it's similar to the Anaheim one. I've only eaten at the bar at the one on Sunset and you definitely don't need reservations for that.

If you go to the HOB website and click on the Sunset Strip location they actually have a link to nearby hotels to help you with that part of your question.

Spot on DuiSer, - that answers all. Like you, I frequented the HOB in Anaheim as they would book the Reggae artists I like. There is a way there to book one of the 2-3 tables upstairs but you kinda have to know your way around.....or get answers here on VT. Not sure if they have them in L.A.

You will have to pay to park. Period. The meters on Sunset run late night - this began a couple years ago. If you wanna park for free, you would have to probably go east of Crescent Heights and hike 25 minutes, easily. There are a ton of garages, and they are decently priced weekdays. Naturally, if you have a hotel in the area, you can count your parking towards the price of the hotel room. I really dig The Chamberlain, in West Hollywood. It is close enough to walk up the strip, but is in a quiet, residential neighborhood. Steep uphill walk to the club, but, hey - all downhill after a few cocktails!

It has been quite a while since I have been to the HOB in Hollywood but they used to have their own parking lot in the back of the property and they also did valet parking.
