The stray dogs have probably taken care of most of the bones that worked their way to the surface.

Only if they are fresh bones. These ones are several centuries old. I would look twice at one if I was considering making some soup.

Sue, they always find me. I will be in a crowd of 100 people (this has actually happened) and some raving maniac will pick ME out of the crowd and start yelling at me or talking to me.
Most recently I was at the train station waiting to go downtown, and this guy chose me to go over his list of things to do that day.

Understood, Liz. We have a resident pheasant in the garden that has a poodle phobia. I'm surprised it hasn't had a heart attack by now.

Depends on the time of day, isn't that silly?
Mostly at night I'm afraid someone could break into the house. This has never happened to us. During the day (or night) I worry the 3 or 4 times a year we have tornado warnings.

Two things will set me off. The worst one is strong winds. When I was a teen we were camping and caught the edge of a twister. Watched two 17'aluminum canoes do cartwheels in the wind. And while we were trying to get the tent trailer down, the wind picked it up and set it up against a tree. This despite my father being in it and several adults holding on trying to keep it down.
Second is locks. I have to have the key in my hand before I can pull a door shut with a lock. Typically I avoid locks altogether - house is not locked, car is not locked, although the power locks of today don't bother me as much. What happened was 22 years ago. My son was a baby and I had been to the store. Unlocked the pickup, set keys on dash, put baby in car seat, popped the lock and shut the door. There was my baby and I could not get to him. I still feel sorry for the poor box boy that came out and I almost accosted to get his help to get to my baby. Yes I was a bit of a raving lunatic at that point.

Locks.... yes I am fairly careful about locks, although not afraid of them. Locking oneself out of the car is a severe nuisance, less likely with electronic locks. We also have to physically lock the house, not one of those slam shut doors.

I don't mind snakes, lizards, geckos but am not overly fond of spiders especially if they are running towards me.
What really really scares me is the thought of being trapped underground.

I'm frightened of this recurring dream of me turning into a teenager again and being back in highschool. I'd be back in the school dorm again (run by nuns)and as I am going about the usual routine... study, make the bed, prepare for school... I would realize that I went back through time and then I would scream. It's not that I didn't like highschool, it is the thought that I would have to do everything all over again.
No problem with the dark, snakes (the non-poisonous kind), insects, strangers... so long as I carry a big stick. hehe Thankfully, I dont have what they call the "third eye" which they say allows you to see the supernatural. But cousins and my mother has seen a spirit or ghost around the house that they say they could mistake for me. A cousin actually saw one standing on the foot of my bed as if it was observing me. But so far, can't sense it.

I forgot to mention cable cars. Bloody Nora. I went up the Gibraltar one at the Marbella meet and again with Poons and Myfanwe in Switzerland on our road trip. Only pure self control stopped me from freaking out.
I can imagine quite clearly what would happen if the cable broke.

My recurring nightmare is about university. I went back and did a Masters part time while working - 24 half courses. It took me eight years, but it seemed to take forever.
In my dream (which is in the present), some administrator comes to tell me that I only completed 23 courses, and I still have to take a 24th, but I have run out of time (there was an eight-year limit). I always wake up before it gets resolved.
So that is my fear I guess. But creepy crawlies, I like. I have adopted cockroaches and tried to catch snakes (not poisonous ones though) and never killed a spider - usually I catch them and take them outside.
Mind you, I've seen people eating live grubs on TV in reality shows. I don't think I could do that no matter how hungry I would be.
