China Huangshan and Guilin and Yangshuo
Posted: Mon July 6, 2009 12:03 PM UTC
I just need a general idea on my future Huangshan-Guilin & Yangshuo trip.

How long is the estimated days it would take? I'll be arriving first in Shanghai (I'll be coming from Philippines, and tickets are cheaper to shanghai). Will 10 days be enough(Including the travel from one city to another)?

I think 2 days in huangshan will be enough. so maybe 8 days in huangshan and yangshuo? Or is it too much?

I don't want a fast-paced travel, maybe just medium-paced (if there's such thing).

Thanks!

I think you should be fine, especially if you're flying to the Guilin area.

Hallo

been there two years ago. Huangshan is great but be ready for long hikes (unless you pay porters). Two days can be enough (I went up in teh morning of one day and went back down on the early afternoon of the next), but there is probably enough to fill at least a couple more if you want to explore all the peaks and get higher chances to see the sun at dawn, we weren't that lucky). In the area there are also a couple of old villages which are worth the visit (another half day), and a wonderful bonsai garden, and a factory specialised in china ink and inkstones.

Guilin can be one to two days, the trip to Yangshuo another two (in the evening definitely go to see the show Impression Sanjie Liu, music and choreographies are magic.

If you can also fit the visit to the terraced rice paddies in the area, that would be the best (I missed it)
