Re: Parking in/around the City Centre.. Posted: Sun September 6, 2009 02:07 PM UTC
Hi,
I realise you posted this a while ago but I'm only noticing it now.
Great Victoria Street Station- there's a carpark right beside this which you pay for at ticket machines. You should be able to get a space with reasonable ease (especially if you're there early). As for the bus centre at Europa, this is right next door to Great Victoria Street Station so you would use the same carpark for this!
As for driving around the city, the traffic isn't too bad but provided you're mobile and happy to walk, I'd do it on foot! There are some great walking tours of the city or else you could take the bus tour. I actually went on the bus tour recently and it's very enjoyable. It also takes in historic parts of the city which are a lot further out than the centre itself. Chances are that you'd miss out these places on your trip here so I'd say it's worth having someone show you them- this includes historic west belfast (Falls Road) & the Shankill Road. Also, the Stormont building is a lot further out and is covered by the tour bus.
