came across a mid-size durian tree with low branches by the road side, and took pictures and video of the tree, plus stayed a while to enjoy the fragrance.

see my pp http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/tt/ab623/#TL and enjoy...

I love durian candies! But I hear the fruit smells bad --- ncie to see how it actually looks on the tree. It looks beautiful and wild...great pictures!

Never had the candies, but the tree is nice. Reminds me of Spanish Moss the hangs off the trees in the deep south of the US. ~

I planted a durian at my place a few years back. I never noticed at first but ants moved in and hollowed out around the roots so that in the dry season the plant died. I'll have to try it again and this time keep an eye out for the ants.
