And...she swore to us she was right about it, but now has no recollection of this discussion. She looks at us as if we're crazy...Hmmm, me smells a skunk! Anywhooo...Hope all my American friends, wherever you reside, have a great "4th or North" and enjoy some good food, drinks and fireworks! ~

I am thinking we will be having fun, it is a dutch oven cookoff of which I am not participating but I will bring something cold, maybe a spinach salad but any suggestions?

Well two doors over in our backyard I see a HUGE Cooker outdoor cooker and I suspect that a PIG will be on there very shortly .
But it will be a ''Croation ''Party and tonight I will hear the Croation Music and singing and I think I will join them for a bit of PIG and a glass of whetever they are drinking .

just finish mine in Marly-le-roi with some American friends in France, lots of hot dogs, hamburgers, california wine Beringer, and bits of fireworks not much, not allowed and of course plenty of coca cola ::)

I was just telling my daughter yesterday how I wish someone I knew was doing a pig this year. Nothing like a good pig roast! Lots of fun in the sun today. Zilly had a blast down in the lake. She was down there for hours, didn't come out until her mom came and picked her up. We even did a boat ride where she and a little boy rode on a big tube behind the boat. It was so nice out on the water today, nice and cool. Lots of crabs, crabs and more crabs. Lot's of food and drink. I came home with a huge care package, so me and the "boys" from next door, who also attended, are doing another shindig tomorrow afternoon. Then I have to start the diet. ~

Sounds like you all had a great day! :o) Oh and I love pig on a spit too!!...mmmm.
