Will be in Munich from Sept 1 to Sept 5. It appears that I can purchase a group pass for entire network(including transortation from airport to downtown hotel) for three days. What do I do since I will be there 4 days?

Daytickets are available for 1 day and 3 days, so one of each will cover 4 days.

The 3-day tickets are only valid for the Inner Zone ("Innenraum"). If you want to travel outside the inner zone during that time (such as to the Airport), you can still use the 3-day ticket, but you'll also need to buy a day-ticket for the Outer Zone ("Aussenraum"). Or just buy a day ticket for the entire network ("Gesamtnetz") on the day(s) you want to travel in the outer transport district.
