Here's one for Parisian photographers or street-walkers (no, no not those ones!!!)or anyone that has an idea.

Most of us have probably seen the famous photo by Brassai of an open gutter taken somewhere in Paris in 1933. I've searched high and low and cannot find out where it was taken . Does anybody know ?

I've had it up on one of my walls as a 75X50 cm poster for about 10 years and only found out who took the photo yesterday. I was checking out some other Paris photography by Willy Ronis, would you believe a 102 y.o. photographer, and he gave a heads up on Brassai's work, and that's where I found it

it's a lovely piece indeed

maybe somewhere on the rue montmarte
