HOW TO REACH US
By plane
From the Florence "Amerigo Vespucci" airport (10 km)
Take the "Vola in bus" shuttle to the Santa Maria Novella train station. From here continue as described in by train.
From the Pisa "Galileo Galilei" airport (83 km)
Take the Terravision shuttle for Florence and get off at the Santa Maria Novella train station. From here continue as described in by train.

By train
From the Santa Maria Novella train station, take bus 14 (stop on the right of the station near the taxi stand) and get off after about 10/15 minutes at the Orcagna bus stop, second stop on Via Arnolfo. Once off the bus, go left, cross the street and turn down your first right, Via dell'Orcagna. You're here, 50 meters down the street is Hotel Jane at number 56/58.

You have two choices from the airport, bus or train.
Both take around the same amount of time (about an hour).
Train times, details and fares in English here:

Search for 'pisa aeroporto'. You may well have to change at Pisa Centrale, 5 minutes from the airport. This is easy enough , although it will probably mean taking your bags down and up steps. One-way fare is 5.70 euro.
Alternatively, you can take the direct Terravision bus:
http://www.terravision.eu/florence_pisa.html
The bus stops at Florence SM Novella railway station. Best to book tickets online in advance, as buses can (and do) get full.
The hotel website has clear directions in English from SM Novella 9it's on the other side of the historical centre):

Train from Pisa Centrale to Florence Santa Maria Novella Station is frequent, cheap, and one doesn't need to book in advance. I guess there are some trains to Florence SMN which originate from Pisa Airport Station, in this case one doesn't need to change trains at Pisa Centrale and no supplementary cost also. Nonetheless, changing trains is not at all difficult. In case there is no train from Airport Station and you need to change the train at Pisa Centrale, I would suggest you to buy the ticket for Pisa Centrale to Florence SMN from Airport Station which will save your time at Pisa Centrale and will allow you to catch the first train. Don't forget to validate the ticket before boarding. When at Pisa Centrale just catch the first train to Florence SMN as your ticket will not be train specific and there are no seat allocation in Regional Trains. Also note that there are more than one train stations in Florence.
Have a great time in Florence!
PS: I am just pondering that does one need to buy two separate tickets: one for Pisa Airport to Pisa Centrale and the other from Pisa Centrale to Florence SMN, or just one ticket from Pisa to Florence will suffice for this purpose?

No, you don't need to buy two train tickets.
You can buy your through ticket to Florence at the aiport, as far as I know.
But if you find you can't then just buy one to isa Centrale, get off, follow the signs to the station exit where you will find the ticket office as well as easy-to-use ticket machines with English language options (they are at Florence SM Novella as well). Ticket office staff in Pisa speak at least adequate English, in my experience
And all trains from Pisa arrive at SM Novella station.
