Re: Eagles Posted: Fri July 3, 2009 04:45 AM UTC
almost saw the eagles, jackson browne, dan fogelberg (rip), and linda ronstadt in something like 1978 before the days concerts sold out in no time and probably cost at the most $10!! It was a benefit for jerry brown for president and I waited too long and it was sold out :(
Have a great time even though I loved the music then but now it would just be nostalgia.

I saw them here in Bergen about 4 weeks ago. They are great and much of the new material is also good. Only downside, if there is one, would be that they play strictly by the note-book... no jamming ;o)

I saw the Eagles at the Rainbow in London in the early 70's, when they blew Neil Young off stage. Have the live DVD's but as Ellen said it would just be nostalgia to go see them again now. But go and enjoy yourself, I'm sure you will.

Re: Eagles Posted: Fri July 3, 2009 02:09 PM UTC
The wife and I saw them in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) about 2 years ago and then in Knoxville, Tennessee (USA) about 1 year ago. Each show lasted about 2 1/2 hours and they were great at both! I am old enough that my preference is their old songs. I have their latest CD, Out of Eden, and only like maybe 3 songs. It just does not have the same quality as their old music to me. To each his own, right?

WoW! They must be big in the UK if their tickets are going on sale 7 mos. prior to the concert. I too, have seen Joe Walsh in concert many moons ago, prior to the Eagles tenure. I still have a huge place in my music genre for them. ~

Yes they added an extra day at the Manchester venue, because the tickets went so fast.
