Orlando Tips/tricks for visiting Disney?
Posted: Thu July 2, 2009 05:20 PM UTC
So I'm planning a trip to Disney for the winter and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good books for choosing restaurants, hotels, etc? There are so many books out there about Disney that I'm starting to feel overwhelmed...I recently bought a great book about the secrets of Disney called “The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World” by Susan Veness. It’s got a lot of secret facts about Disney and it walks you through all the attractions so it doubles as a guide to the park. I know it'll come in really handy while we're there. But I'm still looking for more info about where to stay/eat/shop/etc. Any suggestions??

Try the boards at www.disboards.com and also www.mousesavers.com. I found a lot of good info on both.

Thought I would check back ~ if you post more details we can help you more on where to stay etc. Kids? Young Couple? Budget?
Stay in the park if possible, the bus/boat system works well. All kinds of
rooms depending on budget. You may get a condo if available, nice to have a kitchen if you dont like eating out. Also nice for larger families, you can get a 2 or 3 BR. Beach Club has the best pool for young kids. Boardwalk area
has the best night life. My personal favorite is Wilderness Lodge because you would never know you are at D-world. :) Surrounded by pine forest and views of Bay Lake. Old key West is for golfers, quiet.

So ~ let us know what your wishes are...
