Cancún September in Yucutan Peninsula
Posted: Thu July 2, 2009 03:36 PM UTC
I'm planning on travelling to the Yucutan Peninsula on 17th September this year for 10 nights and want an idea of the weather I can expect and ideas of good hotels. Currently looking at El Dorado Seaside Resort as it looks quite romantic.
Thanks

Due to extreme climatic changes the World is experiencing at the moment, trying to predict the weather can be difficult because of local, on the day variations.
Most places now are seeing weather conditions well outside the norm.
The information below should be used as a guide only.

Enjoy your holiday.

september is prime hurricane season--just keep that in mind, you might want to buy trip insurance. The last two hurricanes that hit me were both in september.

Living in a hurricane prone area of Mexico myself, I can stress that I would never travel to that area in September; it is the height of that activity! You don't have to be directly hit by a major hurricane to have your normal beach/travel activities curtailed, all you need is to be in the general zone.

Sept is in the rainy season..most weather predicts rain everyday..but..that does not mean it will rain where you are and most are just showers that blow over quickly.
THe El Dorado is not near a town..it is pretty secluded..Is that what you want? You are probably looking at taking a cab or shuttle to town for shopping and trying out some bars or places to eat, or even some nightlife.
