Does anyone know where u can find street artists in the Sukumvith area. The guys that do portraits of you by the side of the road.....thanks.

None that I have seen in Sukhumvit.

There are the usual portrait artists in the Pat Pong area. On the small side street to the go go bars there are "galleries" that sell copies of famous oil paintings. Their work is sometimes very good.

Alas, the area is not that salubrious.

Best to give them a photo of yourself that you like. Drop it off day one, go back day two and pick up the completed sketch/drawing/painting.

There is at least one such artist at the Indy Martket (aka Centre Point), which is held every Friday evening beginning at about 5:30pm on the 7th Floor of the Central World mall, which itself is on the Sukhumvit/Ploenchit corridor.
