Does anyone know if the St. Giles is a nice place to stay? Any ideas for rooms for seven, preferably with kitchen facilities? We would all like to be together in an apartment style situation.

offhand no, but there are 2 great sites for accomodation.

I don't know anyone who has stayed at the St Giles apartment although they are situated in a great place for tourists.
The following website is one which advertises apartments to rent on a short term basis in Edinburgh - http://www.letinedinburgh.co.uk Availability will depend on when you plan to visit Edinburgh. August is very busy (and expensive) due to the Edinburgh festival. Enjoy your trip!
