Bangkok Bangkok - Hotel near Airport

Can anyone recommend a hotel for under $60 US per night near the airport (Suvarnabhumi) that would pick me up for free at the airport ? Hopefully something quiet and clean - I don't need anything else.

Maybe this place can help. I never stayed there, I "borrowed the link" from another forum.

http://bangpli.com/sananwan.htm

It is easy to get a meter taxi to downtown Bangkok where you can have a little more to see and do in the evening. The above Sanawan Hotel picking up for free I don't know about, but the price is low enough so that if you paid for the meter taxi plus room you would still save money.

What time is your flight in the morning? I have taken lots and lots of taxi rides from Bangkok to the airport for 5:30 - 6:30 a.m. flights with no problems. There are always meter taxi cabs available all the time from the city to the airport. Always a lot easier to spend the first night or two in the city and then leisurely head for the airport for a flight out. Same for the return flight home, spend the last night in a hotel in Bangkok and then head for the airport the next day.

Queens Garden Resort and Paragon Inn on this link says they will pick up.

Good luck.

I stayed at the Queens Garden Resort about a week ago. I did book online and the deal included to and from airport shuttle - free. I did see a sign at the hotel that the shuttle costs 150tb if you haven't the free arrangement. The Hotel is about 10mins from the airport. I was a bit dubious because of bad and good reviews, but for my stay and my room, no complaints. Its by the river and opposite a nice Temple. I did notice the Planes going over, and they were loud when outside, but I didn't hear them in my room, perhaps I was just too tired, Or was it soundproofed, don't know.

Check out the following two web sites. You can book on line and there are some inexpenisve hotels located not too far from the airport. Most offer a free shuttle or a one way free shuttle from the airport. The price going back to the airport will be very inexpenisve. www.agoda.com or www.asiarooms.com you will need to prepay your stay, I have used both websites and find them very user friendly. I just booked on the Agoda web site the Queens Garden Hotel near the airport for next January, cost was USD $20.00

THanks for your responses. That Queens Garden Hotel sounds good. According to Tripadvisor, this has been renamed to "Convenient Resort". Anyone know if that is true ?

No, don't beleive that this is the same hotel. agoda.com lists both the hotel you mention and the Queen's Garden, the address for the Queen's Garden is 21 Lat Krabang Soi 7 On-Nut tat Krabang Bangkok and the one you mention is 9-11 Soi Ladkranbang 30.

I stayed there a week ago and its still called Queens garden river view. The man at the Airport was holding up a sign still with that name on it, so I think it may be another Hotel you are thinking of. Its at the address the previous poster mentioned. Have a tip on it on my Bangkok page.
