If you go down a couple of posts you will see what I have found out. I have the exact same issue, staying in Cologne and am planning on going all 3 days. I am hoping to find a direct shuttle system, but have not found one yet.

Ah, I see. It was some posts down in the Cologne Forum. I checked several pages of the World Forum, and did not go as far back as yesterday.

I see in the other thread that closer accommodation was suggested. Given the huge crowds that will head for Nürburgring I think you would have to make reservations a year in advance, as all those towns are rather small and do not have thousands of guest beds.

There is a nearly "free" bus shuttle from Koblenz railway station (12 Euro return). So best you get there by train from Cologne and then hop on the bus.

But as RhineRoll already suggested, there should be direct bus shuttles from Cologne. There are shuttles from many cities in Germany, not just from places relatively close to Nürburgring. I suggest you email or call Köln's tourist information site. They should be able to tell you about shuttles.

I see a day trip to Nürburgring on www.buswelt.de for 59 Euro but the link to the details does not work.

But there is an email address you could try:

info@buswelt.de

Thanks Kakapo...
I at least arrive on Wed afternoon and am staying in hotels with concierge, so I will research it right up to the last minute and take the train if nothing else comes along.
We booked our package through the F1 website travel group, so I know others have the same logistics to organize. So the Hilton would be a good place to look for a solution, as thats where they put us on race days.

So best you contact Hilton right now, so they can research and organise before the last minute - when perhaps all buses are full and no additional buses available.

The first bus goes at:

Nina,
I saw that info a while ago, and I think that is the regular schedule for non race days. The track runs more shuttles for the big events.
I called the hotel, and told me to call back Thursday, when a particlar person is there. I will try to update again if I find out more.
Once again, the Hilton has room ticket packages that F1 sold... they have to have a number of people with the same needs as us.
Are you staying in Cologne, and going to all 3 days or something less ambitious?
