If and when I get to Halong Bay I will be booking a 3D2N tour. Apart from the scenery etc during the day, 1 night is on the boat and 1 night is on Cat Ba island. I have sent you a PM with info you may find helpful.

With all the things you want to see in the previous post 2d 1n is fine, after all once you have seen the view not much else to do

Agree with Jonny. I did 2D1N in 2005 and that was enough.

Another vote for Jonny! My wife and I did 2D1N in Feb 2009 and it was plenty. Its beautiful and another relaxing day and night won't hurt but like J said, once you've taken in the view for 2 full days it really cant get much better.

Also with Jonny. It's all about the view, really. Once you've seen it, you've seen it.

You can try the 3D2N with Indochina Junks / Tropical Sails (they are all the same). They have different cruise and the itinerary is more adventurous than other boats.

I'd go 4d3n if I could! Definitely vote for 3d2n. It's a fantastic experience - one you'd want to prolong for as long as you can! Suppose a lot depends on who you're going with...

2D1N may be fine, but you there will not much time to relax. I prefer 3D2N. I booked a tour like that with hotels – in – Vietnam . com , and I was satisfied.
Once you stay in Ha Long, you want to stay as longer as you can. I recommend you booked Indochina Junk. It’s so cool and fantastic
