Hi, puerto_lover!
I just took a look at the hotel you suggested, and they do not have availability during the time we will be there.
Do you know anything about the hotels we are looking at?
Thanks,
Lisa

Pity. Why don't you take a look at the reviews on Trip Advisor.

From the two the best is Berlioz, the other Athena is a mainly road hotel chain in France, truckers like it;not me.
You can rent near the train station in the area of the Berlioz also. other than trying the accorhotels.com chain for excellent hotels time tested by me. You can try the local Hotel du Theatre, pl des Célestins completely renovated in 2004.In one of the prettiest plaza in Lyon Célestins near pl bellecour the nerve center of Lyon.

Thank you so much for all your help, pedmar! I also thought the Hotel Berlioz looked like the better choice, so we have booked it for 5 nights. We got an amazing price on the room! It was only USD $73 a night! I can't wait to visit Lyon! It looks like it will be a lot of fun.
Happy Travels!

I am sure you will enjoy Lyon that has a lot to offer. Among other places, do not miss the ancient Romans excavations and museum, the silk museum. If you drive, go to Rochetaillée for an amazing old cars museum and to the old city of Pérouges.
And in my opinion, in culinary delights Lyon is by far the culinary capital of France and Paris is only second. Or may be Paris is only third after Strasbourg.
