I'm looking for a list of shore excursions for the Dawn Princess Around Australia cruise. (28 days around Australia aboard a Princess ship) Apparently, one is not given the list until one has booked the cruise. I would like to know BEFORE we sign up what the excursions are.
Anyone been on this cruise?

I have just had a look at the 28 days cruise of the Dawn Princess, and if I click on "Shore Excursions" I get a huge list of available tours, and when you are on the list you can click for "More Information" on every shore tour.

Hi - you can also check www.cruisecritic.com for information about shore excursions, the ship, etc. You can book easily enough on your own and you will save alot of money over the ship's excursion. In addition, your excursions will be more personalized. If you go to Boards, then Rolls Calls, then Princess Roll Calls you will find other cruises on your particular sailing. Some post looking for others to share excursions. You will also find good info under Ports of Call. Have a great cruise!

The big advantage of booking shore tours with the cruise company is that they do not leave you behind if your tour finishes late. If you arrive at the ship late after an individual tour, nobody cares about you, and you have to see how you get back on the ship at the next port of call.

So if you book individually, make sure you are back in time.

I have just come back from a South Pacific cruise and did all shore tours on my own for a lot less money. You will indeed meet plenty of people on the ship with whom you could go on mini group tours and save even more money.
