Me and my husband are going to be in Munich for about 10 hours, on our way back home from Greece. I was wondering if somebody can suggest me the best way to make use of that time visiting some of the places in Munich. Is the hop-on-hop-off a good option?

easy - the aiport is new and clean and efficient - check your bags on to Athens, then get on the train into town - cheap and about 20 minutes - get street level and walk the Glockenshpeil - the 2 mile walk is pedestrian only - plenty of sites - the 2 churches - the cafes -the open markets - take your time in the many beer gardins - check out the Haufbrauhaus - if you think you can do it, take the bus from centre city to Dachau - about a 20 minute ride - a stunning view of the Holicaust era - you will cry - a clean and beautiful city

take the s-bahn from the airport to the station 'Marienplatz'.

It is the center of town directly at the city hall and close to the Frauenkirche (church).

You will be directly in the pedestrian area loaded with shops and sights. Also if you like, you can walk to the Engish Garden (Englischer Garten) from there. Which is maybe roughly a kilometer. On the way cross the Hofgarten.

If it is good weather, I recommend the beergarden at the chinese tower in the english garden. If not, you can (as it was written before), go to the hofbräuhaus: http://www.hofbraeuhaus.de/
