My boyfriend and I are spending two nights in Budapest at the beginning of August, and would prefer a hostel/guesthouse to a hotel, because the environment's usually so much more fun, but I'm not having much luck finding one with a room with its own bathroom. Anyone know of anything like that?

The Hostel/Hostal Rila sounds like what you are looking for. We stayed there and found it fine and there were a good number of young people there. They have private en-suite rooms but also some that will sleep four or six. Their website is: www.hotelrila.com
