Booked with Singapore Airlines A380 ( Double Decker Plane ) from London to Singapore and was just wondering regarding the logistics of Boarding and leaving the plane, Boarding the Plane at London what was the queue like and do Upper Deck Customers have to go to another gate ( as I've Heard )? and how long was the queue at the baggage claim in Heathrow ?

What was your overall opinion on the A380 ?

I would not ever take A380, but that is my opinion, I do not care Singapore Airlines, Emirates or SeagullAirOverTheSea airline... it's A380!!

I took one not too long ago while flying Emirates. They had two separate jetways leading off from one singular hallway. The boarding and deplaning process was relatively quick. Also baggage was pulled to the claim area in good time too. Honestly, it is not much different from flying a 777 or 747.

Only problem is that if immigration does not have many lines open, the influx of people causes a bit of bottle neck at passport control. But the good side of that is that your wait at baggage claim will be even shorter.

Consider yourself lucky to fly A380 to Singapore. Many of us do not have the luxury of flying on board such a big & new plane. So I wait eagerly for your appraisal of this flight.

Thanks Tien, I have been checking up on some Airline Forums and there is nothing but Positive Comments regarding Singapores A380, Especially on the Economy Upper Deck where I have booked my seat. And apparently the inflight entertainment is very good with 100 movies to choose from.
