does anybody know if heathrow terminal 1 has free wifi access?

Not only NOT free but on the contrary very expensive!! You are probably cheaper to use the pay as you go terminals if you only need a short-term connection.

No unless you are flying First Class on British Airways, which gives you free access in the Concorde Lounge.

Great! So I'll pay the extra 500 quid, or more, for my flight just so that I can get freebie wi-fi LOL ;) But it's a thought - maybe if you get close enough to the lounge (without actually using it) you might pick up the signal :-)) Hmmmm...then thinking further - I bet you need an access code which you can only get from the lounge staff :-((

Well Emirates have free access in Business Class. That would be cheaper than First but maybe they are not in Terminal One. LOL. Yes take a good book. You still have Leics link to check .
Actually you sometimes find a free link in unexpected places(foyer of hotel in Paris) and have to pay where you thought they might provide a service. Marg

Yes, as noted it is expensive in Heathrow.

T-Mobile
BT Openzone
The Cloud Networks

If you have a subscription to those or a corporate program like "iPass Connect", you can access for no additional cost outside your normal membership subscription price.

All the business lounges offer WiFi (with an access code).

nothing is free at heathrow. I think they are actually charging for oxygen these days. That airport is a shocker!
