Homer 4 Wheeling in Homer, AK

Can you ride 4 wheeler on the spit in Homer, or anywhere else in Homer? Are there any ferries to Seldovia anyone would recommend? Can people rv camp anywhere on the spit, or are there designated spots? Any info is appreciated!

Don't remember seeing any 4 wheelers but you might be able to do it. Camping is in designated spots but there should be plenty of options. Be sure to check out the Salty Dog on the spit. Cool place!

Hi. There's just a regular road on The Spit so I don't think there's any 4-wheeling involved. There are designated campsites/RV hook ups leading up to & around The Spit. There is a hotel at the very end of the Spit where people can cast their lines right from the rocky beach. It's called Land's End Hotel and is open year round.

Think ATVs are restricted on the beaches around Homer. When the tide is out I have seen a lot of activity near Ninilchik/Clam Gulch/Kasilof if you just need to get out and ride on a beach. Otherwise there are plenty of trail options in the woods and mountains on the peninsula.
