Trips to Giant's Causeway..

Hi,

Are there several daily return bus-runs to the causeway (from Belfast)?

Is the journey about a 2.5 hour single trip?

You might consider taking a day tour from Belfast instead. Google 'belfast giants causeway day tour' for operators.

The timetable suggests the journey time is over 3 hours one-way!!

I was of the opinion tthat by driving up one misses out on the scenery :(

But if you take a day tour you won't doing the driving..and it will be much cheaper than hiring a car anyway.

Unless a combination of train and local bus will work......might be worth exploring that option.

That's what I feared :(

I guess a car makes it doable (I'll have another passenger with me, so we can take turns in driving.. if there's scenery en-route?) ??

There's always scenery.......

A car will not be cheap though.

will give you route and estimated timings. Search for Belfast > Bushmills, to get an idea....estimated time is 1h 21m but allow at least 2. Remember to click 'Ireland' before you search (even though N Ireland is part of GB).
