Cameroon Travel Forum

Hi,
I'm going to Cameroon for 5-6 weeks, end of July & August. Everything I read tells me this is the worst time to go because of the rains. Is is really that difficult to get around the country during these months? Are there any activities I can't do? (Mt. Cameroon, Waza National park...). Could someone advise me as to what kind of travel & tourism is possible in July/August?

I don't think that it is that harsh.I have spent most of my summer vacations in cameroon .There are those days when it is soo rainy ,but it won't be that difficult.
Just go with some boots or something like that.
U will be allright.
U can do anything there in July/August.It just depends on the cities

That amount of rain is nothing to worry about.

I am actually in Cameroon right now, working in Yaounde as an engineer after graduating in the USA.

I can guarantee that the weather won't be a problem. Besides, you can always go to the beach in Kribi or in the north to visit Mont Cameroon and it should be sunny there.

Honestly Cameroon is the last country in wich you could complain about the weather. It is true that it has been rainning unusually those last days, but it is still nothing compared to the rains in London for example where I have lived for 9 months.

Hi,
Cameroon has two seasons the dry and the rainy season.It's not the worst time to visit cameroon because every activity is going on well as usual.
It is not difficult to get around the country because there cars like jeeps or 4x4 for the rainy season.
There is no activity you can't do, visiting all this places is very possible.
