Durban Weather/Humidity in Durban

We are planning a 3 week holiday in Pennington in January/Feb 2010. Have heard that it is very wet and humid at this time of year, is this true and could we still have a good holiday?

This is peak season in Durban, and the humidity is high, as it is basically the middle of summer. Unlike cape Town in the rainy season, it rains and stops, and does not go on for days. It is a tropical climate, so it is usually quick downpours, with Februaries official avaerage rainfall being 114mm.

You should have a great holiday

Thank you so much Mike. We are thinking of staying at the Selbourne Golf Hotel, do you have any knowledge of this place?

More than likely your mornings will be glorious sunshine with spectacular later afternoon summer thunder or "electrical" storms. At night, the stars will shine brightly again.
Enjoy!
