I will be visiting Singapore soon and I have been advised by friends in Singapore this week that I have to self quarantine for 7 days since I am coming from United States and Canada. Any confirmation from anyone who has visited singapore lately??? If it is true, then there is no point for me to visit Singapore. thanks

Monitor your temperature for the first two days of your arrival and if you do not have fever or feel unwell then you are free to move around.Unless you feel unwell when you first arrive then you have to seek medical help and they will advice if u are required to be quarantine.

It's never nice to be in quarantine, more so in a foreign country. We've to be socially responsible so as to prevent this Swine Flu from spreading further within the country. Many countries are adopting this form of prevention but these countries are NOT stopping their nationals from travelling. If you are unfortunate to have a fever when you arrive, don't you think it's good that there's someone in another country taking care of you!
When my daughter came back from NY recently, a passenger on board had a fever and I advised my daughter and my wife the need to self quarantine ourselves for 7 days. Thank God we are all well
