Hi Everyone,
I have two questions. Where is a reputable place to buy jade (rings and pendants) in Beijing? A friend wants a Mao suit. I don't think that any are to found nowadays in China but I told him that I'll give it a try. Does anyone know if there are still places in Beijing that still sell Mao suit? |

If you do a search there was a thread recently (within the last two months) on jade. This will give you some good info.

I noticed a small shop off Tianamen Square (opposite the former National Museum)which was selling various items of Mao memorabilia. You might be able to get a Mao suit here. Good Luck

If you don't know your jade, don't waste your money buying it. You're pretty likely to get something fake which won't be worth what you pay for it.
